If Matthew 6:25-27 is true, why are children starving to death in third world countries like Sudan & Ethiopia?

First I want to state that I'm a devout Christian and that this question is not an attempt to discredit or defame the name of God. My sister and I were just having a discussion and she asked me why God allows children to starve if Mathew 6:25-27 is so . Thanks
