What is Unconditional Love?

I agree that for some they see the 'things' as love and they are only a tool which can come from a tool. But your last paragraph got me. How could you not take into account bad habits? Sure they are a part of their upbringing but if it's about verbal abuse or physical abuse you think you could over look that? Sorry I think that if you don't judge that you are setting yourself up for a world of hurt.
