Is the idea of common sense now a code for the left to accuse people of being a racist Teabagger?

The Tea party has been suggesting that common sense needs to return to the way government acts. I have seen many people referring to the Tea party people as a "race oriented" objection to President Obama. Now I see some responses to questions that use the words "common sense" be very reactive using the words "racist teabagger" to respond. Is common sense now a racist invocation?
