If you've watched laguna beach and/or the hills?

hi! ive watched the first 2 seasons of laguna beach- im trying to go in order. season 3 is a whole new cast, so idk if its worth watching. i really want to watch the hills from season 1 on, so does season 3 of laguna beach really matter to watch the hills? sorry if this doesn't make sense
